Employment

1984-87 Developer at ITR Data. Maintained and extended a large administrative system, including system integration, development of a user interface toolkit.
1987-present Freelance consultant, involving system development, teaching and HCI consultancy.
1989-93 Part time teacher at Copenhagen Business School.
1989-91 Research assistant at Copenhagen Business School. Designed and implemented a constraint-based User Interface Management System effectively separating the user interface from the application semantics in graphical user interfaces.
1992-97 Ph.D. student at Copenhagen Business School. Incrementally developed and tested a systematic approach for user interface design.
1993-95 User interface designer and developer at Copenhagen Business School. Designed and implemented a classroom scheduling system at Copenhagen Business School.
1997-2000 Assistant professor at Copenhagen Business School. Continued the research on systematic user interface design methods, developing a frame of reference for user interface design, tested the design methods applicability for a broader range of user interface types. Developed a large web-based system teaching support system. Taught bachelor and master HCI courses at Copenhagen Business School and the Danish Technical University.
2000 Information Architect at Framfab. Did usability work for and prototyped corporate web-sites and highly interactive web-based administrative systems.
2000-2004 Chief Design Officer at Open Business Innovation
2005-2010 Chief Design Officer at Priway.
Co-founded Priway as a joined effort of Dialogical and Open Business Innovation
2005-2010

CTO and Chief Design Officer at RFIDsec.
Responsible for both hard- and software design decisions involved in the development of a new secure RFID chip offering unparalleled security including the unique ability to be invisible to unauthorised RFID readers.

Hardware design included test driven development of ASIC firmware allowing early proof-of-concept, coordination with subcontractors, implementation of wafer level testing.

Software design included design and implementation of a general purpose Java-based API for working with RFID readers and tags (including support for reader and tag specific drivers). The API allowed supporting RFIDsec Secure Protocol with minimal impact to complexity to be handled by the programmer. The SDK included a web-based RFID reader/tag simulator, allowing programs to be tested without hardware. Software design furthermore included design and implementation of service architecture allowing authenticity checks and other tag specific services.

Designed and implemented infrastructure supporting production of tags, including secure production and storage of RFID keys.

Participated in sales activities and customer demos in the role of sales engineer. This work involved designing and implementation several generations of demonstrators.

Participated in the design and development of a Product Registration Utility including necessary infrastructure elements sold as a standard product.

2007-2014

External lecturer at IT University of Copenhagen. Taught HCI/software development at ITU's Healthcare Master Program and Databases at ITU's Global Business Informatics.

Teaching Systematic Design of User Interfaces at ITU's bachelor program in Software Development

2011-2015 UX Specialist at Kapow Software - a Kofax Company. Responsible for all UX in Kapows enterprise solution for Robotic Process Automation (RPA). This included everything from user interface design (a custom graphical user interface offering a visual and example driven programming language, web-based operational interfaces and a web-based application builder)
2015-2017 UX Manager at Lexmark Enterprise Software. Worked with design and implementation of a company global UX strategy. Part of the global UX Management team and managed a geographically dispersed team of UX designers (Sweden, Germany and Northern Ireland)
2017- Founder and Entrepreneur at Comjunit ApS. Designs and develops solutions for volunteer based organizations
